Performing Arts at Fawn Lake

Local Talent to the Rescue!  And PAFL Says Thanks.

Dear Performing Arts at Fawn Lake Members and Friends, As I’m sure you’re aware,  PAFL is hosting “60’s Night!” on Friday, April 5.  This our first fund raiser. Why the fundraiser? No one is immune from the effects of inflation, least of all our club.  Sustaining ourselves and keeping ticket prices within reach are constant struggles for us, so any additional funds we acquire will further our mission and benefit all of us. We’ve sold 88 tickets to date and this is a good start but we have a big room to fill and we have to sell at least 50 more seats to make this effort a success.  Our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,000.  We need you to make this happen. Eleven of your neighbors have volunteered as “The Fawn Lake Jam Band” and are donating their time and talents at NO COST to PAFL. You probably know some of these folks, but we’d guess that you didn’t know they could play or sing: Band Ken Accousti: Organ & Keyboards Matt Aiken: Acoustic Guitar & Vocals Brad Gregory: Guitar Darren Long: Drums Kevin McCarthy: Piano & Keyboards Xavier Perez: Guitar John Quaderer: Guitar & Vocals Chris Twigg: Guitar & Vocals Vocals Linda Catullo Matt Collier Marietta Gress “60’s Night!” has been produced by Kevin McCarthy, John Quaderer and Darren Long.  It’s going to be a lot of fun! If you haven’t done so already, please buy your tickets now to support PAFL – and of course, to show your appreciation for your Fawn Lake Jam Band neighbors! Thank You, Jim Silk, President

PAFL 2024 Member Benefits

In case you haven’t explored our new website yet, we have put together a new package of Performing Arts at Fawn Lake member benefits for 2024 that we hope will make you want to join up now and get to the front of the line. It is always a challenge to check all of the boxes as we prepare for our sponsored events, so the benefits we have put in place for 2024 are aimed at giving members meaningful privileges, while at the same time helping to make ticketing and attendance more predictable and manageable. So, here isthe benefit lineup for each $25 membership that we have put in place for calendar 2024. Membership Eligibility – All residents and property owners of Fawn Lake are eligible for membership in Performing Arts at Fawn Lake. Under FLCA guidelines, up to 10% of membership may be non-residents/non-property owners of Fawn Lake. Interest is building outside our community for membership in PAFL, so we have to manage this aspect carefully. Privileged Access to Event Tickets – As you know, we are constrained by the venue spaces available to us for our concerts. The FLCA Clubhouse (the one that string musicians like the best because of the acoustic properties of the space) hasn’t been available, but hopefully one day soon it will be. Fire code limits occupancy of this space to 146. The Cove, which FLCC has graciously and generously rented to us for concerts, can handle about 300 under the fire code, but configuring this space with a stage for the musicians and risers for the audience provides for only about 225 total audience members. So, in order to be fair, we sell tickets for all music events exclusively to current members on a first come, first served basis during the first two weeks that tickets go on sale. We call this the ‘member blackout period.’ Discounted Ticket Prices – For 2024, we are additionally offering music event tickets to members at a discounted price during the blackout period. This means that if you purchase your tickets during the member blackout period for an event, you get them all at a discounted price. All tickets sold to members and non-members after the member blackout period will be at the full ticket price. Memberships and Guests – Each $25 membership for 2024 extends all benefits for one person. There is no limit to the number of household member and guest memberships that you may purchase (subject to the eligibility requirement noted above). This means that if you purchase, say, memberships for yourself and your spouse, plus two more for as-yet unnamed guests you would like to invite to our performances, all four memberships will be eligible for Privileged Access and Discounted Ticket Prices during the blackout period for each of our hosted music events throughout 2024. Social Events – Lastly, it is our custom to host social events for the famous musicians who perform for us, so that you can relax and get to know them personally. These events are only available to members, also on a first come, first served basis. So, there you have it. We hope you will become a Performing Arts at Fawn Lake member for 2024 and take advantage of all these privileges and enjoy the great music we bring to our community for you. All the best, Jim SilkSecretary/Treasurer
